What Is MAMMOTH COFFEE?

MAMMOTH COFFEE is a takeout coffee brand created to challenge the idea that good coffee has to be expensive.
Its biggest attraction is, without a doubt, the enormous drink sizes.
The portions are so generous that your first reaction will probably be, “Wow, they really fill it up this much?”
The coffee is made with carefully selected Brazilian beans, roasted to bring out their natural sweetness and balanced aroma.
The shop also offers a convenient mobile ordering service, making it easy for busy commuters and travelers to grab a drink.
Crowds & Wait Time – Visited at 1:00 PM on a Holiday
I visited the shop at around 1:00 PM on a public holiday.
There were approximately 15 people waiting in line, and the queue never seemed to disappear.
After placing my order using the self-service kiosk, it took about 15 minutes before my drink was ready.
Considering its location inside Tokyo Station, the shop can become quite busy, especially on weekends and holidays.
If you’d like to save time, I highly recommend using the mobile ordering service.

Mobile Ordering Can Save You Time
MAMMOTH COFFEE offers a dedicated mobile ordering service through its official app.
Before ordering, you’ll need to either create an account or sign in using your email address.
Although a little preparation is required, mobile ordering lets you skip the line, making it especially useful during busy hours.
If you’re visiting the Tokyo Station location, ordering ahead is definitely worth considering.

Trying the Large Café Latte

This time, I ordered the Large Café Latte (¥600).

The first thing that caught my attention was its incredible size.
I use an iPhone 15 Pro, and the Large cup is actually taller than the phone itself.
Since the iPhone 15 Pro measures 146.6 mm (5.77 inches) in height, the cup feels impressively large.
It also has a noticeable weight, making it slightly difficult to hold with one hand for an extended period.

It truly lives up to the name “Mammoth.”
As for the taste, I wondered if the quality might suffer because of the huge portion.
Fortunately, that wasn’t the case at all.
The café latte had a smooth, creamy texture with a well-balanced espresso flavor.
Its quality easily compares with major coffee chains.
Considering the generous size and excellent taste, I found it to be an outstanding value for the price.
Is the Large Size Worth Ordering?
After trying it myself, I can confidently say that the Large size offers excellent value.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Recommended For
- People who drink a lot of coffee
- Anyone looking for great value
- Those planning to enjoy their drink soon after purchasing
Not Recommended For
- People who will be carrying it around for a long time
- Travelers with lots of luggage
- Anyone who only wants a small drink
There is no seating area inside the shop, and seating around Tokyo Station is surprisingly limited.
If you’ll be walking around for a while, the Medium size may be the more practical option.
