Entrance buzz — the white Doraemon statue stole my heart
When I arrived on the 5th floor of Shibuya PARCO, the white Doraemon statue beside the entrance immediately caught my eye.

Seeing it in person is more impressive than I imagined, and people were already lining up to take photos there.
My first shot after arriving was taken right at that statue.
If you include the “Anywhere Door”-style frame visible behind it, you get a very Instagrammable composition.
When it’s crowded, you might have to wait a little, so try to keep your pre-entry photo quick and simple.
Shibuya PARCO ‘THE DORAEMON STORE’ visit report — on a holiday, the store really is full of Doraemon!
I visited the Doraemon store at Shibuya PARCO. Since it was a weekend, the store was already bustling with people eager to snap photos and hunt for items you can only find here.
Entrance & crowd conditions
Because I went on a weekend, the shop was already lively with families with kids and couples. It’s a nice reminder that Doraemon appeals to both children and adults alike!

Store atmosphere — a happy space filled with comics, goods, and plush toys
The store is packed with goods, manga, and plush toys — truly a happy space full of Doraemon.
I had hoped to see items from characters by the same creator, like Korosuke from Kiteretsu or Oba-Q, but on the day I visited none of those items were available.
It felt a bit wistful but also reinforced that this is a pure Doraemon shop — every corner celebrates Doraemon.

Souvenirs, small goods, and apparel — plenty to choose from
They sell souvenir cookies and mugs with text printed on them.
Mobile batteries, keychains — every Doraemon item is adorable!

The apparel selection is solid, too. The sneakers that feature famous Doraemon scenes are especially striking and make a big visual impact.

Personal spotlight items
The white Doraemon-shaped room light displayed near the entrance is just so cute.
There are two designs — Doraemon and Dorami — and both work as stylish interior pieces. (Each priced at ¥11,000.)

My purchases — I scored the “Cat Doraemon” spoon and bowl set
On this visit I bought the spoon and bowl from the “cat” series inspired by the time Doraemon ate the “Kamu Kamu Cat Food.” The cat-version Doraemon was so cute I bought it on the spot.

You can pay extra for an original paper shopping bag; if you’re buying souvenirs, adding the branded bag makes it feel like a much nicer gift — highly recommended.

How to spot store-original items
Store-original Doraemon products seem to be marked with a little Doraemon icon on the price tag.
If you’re hunting for items you can’t buy anywhere else, look for that Doraemon mark on the tag.

Crowd-avoidance tips
Best times to visit: aim for weekday opening (11:00–12:30) or late afternoon/evening just before closing (after 19:00) for more relaxed shooting. Weekends are busier and popular items can sell out quickly.
That said, the store’s layout is relatively spacious, so even when it’s crowded you can still enjoy shopping without feeling rushed.

Detour: MIYASHITA PARK’s “Doraemon — Mirai no Tobira” monument
A short walk away, the rooftop of MIYASHITA PARK hosts the Doraemon 50th anniversary monument called “Doraemon — Mirai no Tobira.” Combine the shop visit and monument for a full Shibuya Doraemon tour.
The rooftop is open and offers a nice backdrop of Shibuya’s cityscape — great for photos. Admission is free.
Kid-friendly spots in Shibuya PARCO
On level 6 you’ll also find the Capcom Store, Jump Shop, and Pokémon Center Shibuya — a dream space for kids and adults alike.
The 6th floor opens one hour earlier at 10:00, so getting there early and spending an hour shopping before the rest of the mall opens can be a good plan.
