If you’re looking for a good burger in Yoga, Tokyo, BurgerPOLICE DINER is a new restaurant worth checking out.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Yoga Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, this burger restaurant opened in July 2026 and offers juicy burgers, crispy fries, drinks, and lunch sets.

The restaurant has a bright and relaxed atmosphere, making it suitable for a casual lunch, a date, a meal with friends, or a family outing.

I visited on a Sunday around noon and tried two different burgers along with fries and fruit juices.

In this article, I’ll share my experience at BurgerPOLICE DINER, including the burgers I tried, the atmosphere, lunch and menu information, prices, reservations, opening hours, and how to get there.

BurgerPOLICE DINER: A New Burger Restaurant in Yoga, Tokyo

BurgerPOLICE DINER is located about a 5-minute walk from Yoga Station in Tokyo’s Setagaya Ward.

The restaurant opened on July 17, 2026, making it one of the newer places to get a burger in the Yoga area.

One of the highlights is the restaurant’s focus on its burger ingredients.

According to the restaurant, the buns are made with natural yeast and toasted until crisp, while the freshly ground beef patty is lightly smashed and cooked to create a nicely browned surface while keeping its meaty texture.

If you’re exploring Tokyo beyond the major tourist areas and want to experience a more local neighborhood, Yoga is an interesting area to visit.

Is BurgerPOLICE DINER Busy on Sundays?

I visited on a Sunday around 12:00 p.m.

When I arrived, I was able to enter relatively smoothly.

However, by the time I started eating, several customers with reservations had arrived, and the seats were filling up.

The restaurant has 23 seats, so it isn’t a particularly large restaurant.

If you’re planning to visit during the weekend lunch rush, especially on a Sunday, making a reservation in advance is a good idea.

This is particularly useful if you’re planning your day around the restaurant rather than simply stopping by spontaneously.

A Bright and Relaxing Restaurant Atmosphere

The interior is bright, comfortable, and relaxing.

Rather than feeling like a typical fast-food-style burger restaurant, it has more of a casual café or diner atmosphere.

The restaurant describes its interior as a comfortable space where customers can relax, and I found it to be a pleasant place to spend time over lunch.

It would work well for several occasions, including:

  • A casual lunch
  • A meal with friends
  • A date
  • A family meal
  • Solo dining

Because it is only about five minutes from Yoga Station, it is also convenient if you’re already exploring the area.

Trying the Burgers at BurgerPOLICE DINER

I ordered two burgers during my visit:

  • Basic Burger
  • Teriyaki Burger

Both burgers had a noticeable focus on the combination of the bun and beef patty.

Basic Burger: Simple and Focused on the Beef

First, I tried the Basic Burger.

As the name suggests, this is a relatively simple burger that allows you to focus on the main ingredients.

The pickles and onions add a nice crunchy texture, while the beef remains the main attraction.

The patty was juicy and had a satisfying, meaty texture.

I also liked the bun.

It was soft but still had enough texture to give the burger a satisfying bite, with a noticeable wheat aroma.

If you prefer burgers where the beef itself is the star, this is a good choice.

Teriyaki Burger: Rich and Sweet Japanese-Style Flavor

Next, I tried the Teriyaki Burger.

This burger has a rich, sweet teriyaki sauce that gives it a completely different character from the Basic Burger.

The fresh lettuce works particularly well with the juicy beef patty and sweet sauce.

If you’re visiting Japan and want to try a Japanese-style burger, the teriyaki burger is an interesting option.

Compared with the Basic Burger, the teriyaki version has a stronger and sweeter flavor.

If you already like teriyaki sauce, this is definitely one to consider.

The Beef Patty and Bun Are the Highlights

After trying both burgers, what stood out to me most was the combination of the beef patty and bun.

The bun was soft while still providing some bite, and the wheat flavor was noticeable.

The beef patty was juicy and had a substantial, meaty texture.

Rather than relying only on sauces or toppings, the burger gives you a satisfying feeling of actually eating a substantial beef patty.

For people who enjoy juicy, meat-forward burgers, this was one of the most memorable parts of my meal.

Crispy Fries with a Peppery Flavor

The fries were served alongside the burger.

They were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, giving them a nice contrast in texture.

There was also a mild peppery flavor, so they were enjoyable even without additional seasoning.

Ketchup and mustard were available on the table, so you can add them if you prefer a stronger flavor.

The restaurant also emphasizes its carefully prepared French fries as one of its menu items.

Pineapple Juice and Mango Juice

I also ordered two fruit juices with the burgers:

  • Pineapple Juice
  • Mango Juice

Pineapple Juice

The pineapple juice had a refreshing acidity and a distinct fruity flavor.

I thought the refreshing taste worked particularly well with the rich, meaty burger.

Mango Juice

The mango juice was smoother and richer, with a mellow sweetness.

It also paired nicely with the burger if you prefer a sweeter drink.

BurgerPOLICE DINER Menu and Prices

BurgerPOLICE DINER offers several different burgers as well as fries, drinks, and lunch sets.

Some of the burger options include:

BurgerPrice
Standard Burger¥1,280
Teriyaki Burger¥1,580
Cheese Burger¥1,480

Prices and menu items may change, so it is a good idea to check the latest menu before visiting.

For my visit, I would estimate a budget of around ¥2,000–¥4,000 per person if you order a burger together with a set and drink.

Lunch sets are also available, including options with salad, fried chicken, and drinks.

If you’re looking for a casual but slightly more substantial lunch in Yoga, the lunch set options are worth checking.

Can You Make a Reservation?

Yes. Reservations are available at BurgerPOLICE DINER.

When I visited on Sunday around noon, several customers who had reservations arrived while I was eating, and the restaurant gradually became full.

Because the restaurant has 23 seats, I recommend making a reservation if you’re planning to visit during a busy weekend lunch period.

For travelers with a fixed Tokyo itinerary, reserving a table can also make it easier to plan your day.

Does BurgerPOLICE DINER Have Parking?

There is no dedicated parking lot at the restaurant.

If you’re driving, you’ll need to use a nearby paid parking lot.

For visitors using public transportation, however, the restaurant is convenient because it is only about a 5-minute walk from Yoga Station.

I tried both the Basic Burger and Teriyaki Burger during my visit.

The Basic Burger lets you focus on the juicy beef patty, crunchy pickles and onions, while the Teriyaki Burger offers a richer, sweeter Japanese-style flavor.
